5 New Ways to Wear a Fall Jacket

The easiest way to warm up on chilly days is to top your look with a cute fall jacket. So we turned to Chico's Brand President, Cinny Murray, for some ideas to freshen up a jacket this season.

Q. Belts are big this season. What type of jacket looks best belted? 

A. We have a fabulous online workshop on how to wear a belt. Even if your middle is larger than you like, there are ways to wear a belt slung on your hip to give you the appearance of a slimmer waistline. When belting a jacket make sure the belt sits at the waist. There are also a number of sweater jackets, a big trend for fall, that look great belted.

Q. We love the layered look with the hem of a longer top showing under a jacket. What's the best way to pull off this look?

Q. What's a new way to accessorize a jacket?

A. You can never wear too many brooches or a big flower pin on a jacket.

Q. So many of us own a basic black jacket/blazer. What's a new way to wear this? 

A. You can't go wrong with a basic black jacket as the canvas for accessories. Whether it's wrapping a scarf or adding brooches, the black jacket will forever go everywhere with you.

Q.We saw some turtlenecks back on the runways. Are those fresh to wear with jackets?

A. Turtlenecks are great essentials and look amazing when paired with a fabulous jacket.  A new jacket always compliments the essentials.
