Inauguration Ball: Michelle Obama went red hot in Jason Wu

President Barack Obama called First Lady Michelle Obama his "better half" and "dance partner" just before they moved in unison at the Inaugural Ball.

After two days in cool blue, First Lady Michelle Obama went red hot in Jason Wu.

The designer is the same one who provided her white hot inauguration gown the first time around, so I suppose why mess with what works.

She wore matching red Jimmy Choo heels and a handmade diamond ring by jewelry designer Kimberly McDonald, who collaborated with Wu for the embellished neckline of the halter-style top — a style that showed off her much-praised tones arms. The deep V back showcased a sexy spine as well.

And, like her previous gown and that of First Ladies before her, the ensemble will go to the National Archives after the ball is over. See other First Ladies inaugural gowns.

The first couple danced to Jennifer Hudson's rendition of "Let's Stay Together" but I have to say, Chris DeBurgh's Lady In Red would have been perfectly appropriate.

Michelle Obama's bangs grabbed the spotlight again, as they have all week since they were "unveiled." The choppy layers which were smoothly curved under for the inauguration ceremonies got an uplift into a pretty piece-y flip for the evening's festivities.

On with the dance...
