You never forget your first time. Sharon Osbourne didn't need mistletoe. She recalls:
"My first kiss? The truth I used to kiss my dog. I'd actually put on red lipstick and kiss the dog. My mother would say, 'You've been kissing that dog again!' I'd say, 'No I wasn't.' And she would say, 'You have dog hair all over your lips!"
It's not the best use of your best Chanel red lipstick. Still, during this season of lipstick being smeared off thanks to many wonderful lip locks, I asked Midlifer superstars about their first kisses.
The answers were pretty juicy:
DEBBIE REYNOLDS: "I grew up in a very strict home when I was a teenager. At the same time, I was under contract to MGM studios and needed to learn to kiss before I filmed 'Singing in the Rain.' I had a friend named Hugh O'Brien teach me how to kiss. Oh, Hugh gave me a nice, soft kiss. It was sweet and dear – the way a first kiss should be."
ROBIN WILLIAMS:"Ah, I was a youth in Detroit and my first kiss was pretty amazing. I went to an all-boys school, so the only human contact I had was during wrestling matches and that wasn't what I wanted. I wasn't very experienced with girls. But they would have these dances with the girls from the school across the hill. I leaned in and this girl I barely knew yelled, 'You're hurting me.' I felt like Quasimodo. I stammered, 'I mean you no harm' and then I leaned in and kissed her. I still love the actual kiss and I can taste it right now. It was as good as they said it would be."
BRAD PITT:"I was in the fourth grade. We made a plan to meet in her garage and kiss. It was like this business deal. I went right up to her and kissed her. Then I ran home."
NICHOLAS CAGE:"It was my prom night and it was a complete disaster. I rented a tuxedo and a limousine so I could take this beautiful girl. At the end of the night, I went to kiss her and she responded. I was so nervous that my stomach got really nauseous. I said,' Excuse me' - and threw up all over my shoes and rented tux."
GWEN STEFANI:"I was in the ninth grade, and I kissed this boy - Brad. I didn't even know his last name. We were on a family trip to Catalina Island in California. We kissed on the beach, and I remember thinking, 'Oh my God, this is so weird. I can feel his braces!' My family left the next day. I wrote to him three times but he never wrote back."
ANTONIO BANDERAS: "It was with my first real girlfriend named Lillian. I asked her to kiss many times and she always said no. We were 13. Finally, she said yes. I did it and I got dizzy and she got dizzy. It was actually a pretty profound and pretty experience. That's the word for it. Pretty. It's like a pink memory. A flowery memory."
