Something old. Something new. Something borrowed.

And someone not blue.

Kris Jenner has weddings on her mind.

Maybe, just maybe, this has to do with the fact that her daughter,  Kim Kardashian  — you might have heard of her unless you live in outer Mongolia —  announced her engagement earlier this year.

Just like any other MOB – mother of the bride – there are a few style jitters.

"I don't have my dress yet!" Kris, 55, says on a lovely summer morning at Kardashian Central or their house in Calabasas, California. Kris is having a whirlwind time. There's the series, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" to produce and star in plus fashion shoots, perfume deals, personal appearances and even a grandson to spoil.

Oh, and then the wedding of the century. "I actually started thinking about my own dress the other day," Kris frets. "I thought, 'I really have to get on that one.'"

It's a given that her daughters are fashionistas who make headlines on almost a daily basis for changing a hair color or a 20-karat engagement ring. But the apples don't fall far from the tree.

It's Kris Jenner or Mama Kardashian who sets the style bar. She sat down for an exclusive talk with Style Goes Strong about her beauty and fashion secrets.

"Wait, did you say secrets?" Kris says with a warm laugh. Five minutes with her and it's like you've known her forever.

"We don't keep a lot of secrets in my family, which everyone knows from watching the show. Everything is out there for the world to see. Whatever happens, you're hearing about it," she promises.

STYLE SAVVY

We don't want to upset Kim or Khloe, but it's Mama Kardashian who is also a style trendsetter.

"You know what? I got most of my style from my own mom," Kris says. "I grew up in a family where my mom was a pure fashion icon in the '50s. Every single day, she would be in a beautiful little dress. The hair was perfect. The small heel was on."

"My mom always looked glamorous," Kris says. "As a little girl, I thought she was so beautiful.

"When you grow up with people who take as much pride in fashion, it rubs off on you. You feel inspired to look your best," she says. "As a girl, I always had a beautiful new party dress or if we went to Disneyland, it was a big deal. We'd always go shopping and get new outfits. We had to look good."

"I guess I'm like that now a bit. I try to look good no matter what. It doesn't take much more time to throw on something stylish," she says.

THAT GREAT HAIRCUT

Kris says that cutting her hair short wasn't an emotional decision.

"I've had the same hairdresser for over 30 years," she says. "When I first met Robert Kardashian, I met Alex Roldan who has his own salon at the London Hotel in Los Angeles.

"He still does my cut and my hair for the show and special events," she says.

She says the cut happened on the spur of the moment. "Alex was doing my hair one day in the mid '80s and said, 'Let's just cut it.' I said, 'What!' He said, 'Cut it all off!' He said, 'Kris, you have the greatest face. Let's show it off.'"

"He gave me this great confidence and then I started thinking, 'How cool would it be to have short hair?'" she says. "So I said, 'Let's just do it! I'm a brave person.'

"In minutes, I looked down and saw my entire head of hair!"

Did she cry?

She laughs.

"I love it now. Short hair is the best.  It's like having a different haircut all the time. It moves. I pull it back. It's easy to keep it healthy.  It's great not to be a prisoner of your hair," Kris says.

KRIS ON AGING IN HOLLYWOOD

When it comes to getting older, Kris says, "I've always been the girl who said, 'I will embrace aging. I will age gracefully and have the best time.'"

"I always give myself five year plans. I'll say, 'In five years, I'm going to wear my hair like this and carry myself like that. In five years, this will be my style.' I like looking ahead and embracing what the next stage will offer. If you plan for it then it's not a surprise."

She says the Kardashian "girls" help her with the trends.

"I'm really lucky I have three grown daughters who are definitely my fashion police!" she says.

HOW SHE DE-STRESSES

"I think what's important is giving yourself a minute when you need one – especially at this age where most of us are still so busy," she says.

"I wear so many hats," Kris says. "I tend to be a workaholic and I don't know when to stop."

So, Kris forces herself to relax.

"My emergency 911 go-to stress reduction is a massage," she says. "I make myself stop by scheduling something that gives me great pleasure – and then I can't get out of it because it's scheduled."

"Or, I'll plan dinner with a friend, but it's scheduled and it's in stone. I can't really back out of it," Kris says.

"If I know my girlfriend is coming over for a glass of wine at five, it's my cherry at the end of the day," she says with a sigh.
