Julia Roberts' hair color is one thing I loved this year.

Like all fashion types, I tend to get excited about things like new looks, fresh colors and innovative products.

In 2011, I found all sorts of great things to obsess about. Here's my Top 10 fashion obsessions for the year:

  1. Julia Roberts' hair color - Julia Roberts sports a rich color that our go-to color expert calls "golden ombre."
  2. Linda Fargo and Carine Roitfeld  – It was a toss-up between fashionistas Linda Fargo and Carine Roitfeld about who I adored the most, so I called it a tie. Linda has a chic silver bob and high-end style; Carine is sultry, French and loves black.
  3. Kate Capshaw's haircut -  Kate Capshaw has the perfect long shag: it's layered to flatter her face – which is both youthful and sexy – and is a gorgeous blonde color.
  4.  Booty Up Jeans – Wrangler's Booty Up jeans are incredible: they make your butt look perky (no small feat at this age) and they are about half the cost of pricier butt-shaping jeans.
  5.  Dior Airflash makeup  – This luxe foundation is flawless and gives a beautiful finish.
  6. Eternal Threads products  This non-profit organization works with women in countries like Afghanistan and India to help them create beautiful, handcrafted goods for their small businesses, which in turn help support their families.
  7. Christine Baranski  — I feel a kinship with Christine Baranski because she stated in an interview that she moved her family to the country so they could experience the lifestyle of growing up with horses and animals (just like my husband and I chose to move our family to the country.) In addition, Christine Baranski has a classic, timelessly elegant style and she's a fabulous actress. Love her!
  8. Black reading glasses  – I love these new, larger frame reading glasses because they don't look like granny reading glasses. And because they are over the counter, they are less than $40
  9. Belts –   I spent the year stocking up on belts, from vintage finds (a hippie suede belt covered in old coins) to new buys (a menswear-type, go-with-everything brown leather) because I think a belt changes up the silhouette on everything from tunics to coats.
  10.  Jenna Elfman's haircut — I love this short haircut so much that I've spent most of the year actually wearing my hair this way.
