"I think people when they meet me think I'll be judging them," says Uber Stylist Rachel Zoe. "Strangely, I never do this to people.

"I think style is such an expression of self," she says.

She laughs. "It's also nasty to criticize!"

Then again when I ask Rachel for some fashion tips, she's the first one to offer a slew of ways you can look stylish for fall. In her own words, this season will be maj-uh!

How can Midlifers look like Fashion Queens and Not Fashion Road Kill?  Zoe, whose reality series "The Rachel Zoe Project," debuts tonight on Bravo has the most fashionable answers.

"I feel that people are only fashion victims because they don't know what to do," she offers. "They look at ads in magazines and spot a runway dress on TV. Then the average person says, 'That's it! I want that look!'"

No, you probably shouldn't wear an off-the shoulder Dior gown to the grocery store.

"I think more than anything people become fashion victims when they wear too many trends at once," says Rachel. "Try one trend at a time, if it feels right to you. Remember that you don't have to try it at all. You can stick to the classics."

RACHEL ZOE: FALL FASHION 101

Speaking of classics…..yesterday, Rachel told us that a great coat, super fitting pair of skinny jeans, a chunky sweater and a leather jacket are perfect fall looks to pair with boots, nude or black pumps.

Those are staples that never go out of style.

"I want to suggested that you embrace your favorite body part this season. Every woman has a part that they love the most. Maybe it's your shoulders or your neck. Do you love your clavicle?"

She laughs. "Pick your favorite part and highlight it."

ZOE: WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS

"Again, it's about focusing on what you love about you," she says. "If you are heavier in your middle or legs, try to great shirt or necklace that draws the eyes upward. Let's say you don't like your legs at all. But you have wonderful shoulders. Pick a sweater that shows them off."

"Remember this rule: People will always look at what you're going to show them," she advices.

She says women who feel they're heavier should watch their sizes.

"Never wear clothes that are too small because it creates volume," she says.

What about clothes that drape? Some fashion experts say that also creates volume.

"Draping can camouflage a lot of areas you want to hide," Rachel says. "If the draping is correct, it can do a great job. Just make sure it's not too big."

She says that all women should ignore sizes on labels.

"Every designer is cutting differently now. You have to bring every size you can into the dressing room and really try things on. Don't be daunted by a number if it fits great," she says.

RACHEL ZOE: BEAUTY, MAKEUP AND HER HAIR

Rachel is a spokesperson for a new lipstick line called Exude. She collaborated with Exude co-founders Laurence Mills and Diane Breidenbach on the simple, chic packaging. The applicator when twisted gives you just the right amount of color for a smooth finish. The lipstick also contains an anti-aging formula of Vitamins E and C, plus Omega-3, Omega-6, and Goji Berry.

"It's incredible lipstick. It always looks pretty. It's kind of maj-uh," Rachel says, mentioning her favorite colors are Cranberry in the crème and Crimson in the gloss.

As for her trademark, long, wavy blonde hair, she says her secret to the perfect wave is free.

"You'll laugh if I tell you," Rachel says. "OK, I sleep on my hair. The truth is I only do it once or twice a week and then sometimes I let it dry naturally. Other times, I'll blow dry it.

"I have very wavy hair," she says. "I use really organic products on it and a lot of conditioners. I play with a lot of different styling products and use a lot of conditioning masks.

"But when I don't wash and just sleep on my hair, the texture gets better," she says. "I'll wash it before I go to bed and sleep on it."

She says many women get their hair cut too often. "I only cut it a few times a year and I've always been that way," she says. "I've always had long hair and I need my hair to be low maintenance."

THE BUSY NEW MAMA

Afterall, Rachel is a new mommy to baby boy Skyler Morrison Berman.

His closet is already filled with designer duds that have been sent as baby presents. "I keep saying as soon as he's old enough to know what's in his closet, I'm going to hide the labels," she says.

"I don't want him to show off and get caught up in labels," she says. "But it could go the other way. He could hate fashion!"

"He could be a jeans and T-shirt kid," she say with a gasp.

As for more babies, she says, "Not right now. I want to enjoy Sky for as long as I can before I think about the next one. I waited for a long time to have him.

"Of course, I don't have the luxury of waiting. We'll see what happens.

"I'm just in Heaven right now."

I keep hrinaeg a lot of negative comments about her being pregnant saying she is too skinny to be pregnant. That it would be unhealthy. Let's hope that isn't the case.
