Want diet solutions? Lisa Vanderpump, who owns restaurants, has them along with makeup tips and tricks. By the way, what pink lip gloss is she wearing?

A morning interview with the fabulous Lisa Vanderpump for her new docu-series "Vanderpump Rules" digresses quickly into one of my favorite topics: beauty secrets!

Me: Your new series revolves around your restaurant Sur in West Hollywood. How is it that you look much more beautiful than the 20-year-olds who work for you as waitresses…and these girls are trying to be super models and actresses!

The funny, self-deprecating Vanderpump jokes, "I think that should be your headline! She looks better than the 20 year olds!"

What are her secrets?

"I do have a few secrets, but I'm not sure I want to share them with you," Vanderpump insists, laughing.  Of course, the hard driving member of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" – wife, mother and celebrated restaurant owner — doesn't hold out for long.

LISA VANDERPUMP'S DIET SOLUTIONS

"The hardest thing when you get older – and I'm 52 – is keeping your weight down," she admits. "I'm passionate about my restaurants and I'm passionate about eating.

"I'm not one of those women who says, 'I'll have a carrot or the veggie plate.' I really do eat. I sample my own food."

Since she works in a party environment, Vanderpump is happy to relax with a glass of vino.

"I love to live and experience the whole food and wine experience. So, I'll have a glass of wine or even two glasses of wine on some nights," she says.

To rid herself of the extra calories, she hits the gym the next day.

"I think the key over 40 is exercise regularly. You need to step it up with exercise at that age," she says. "And one of my secrets is to cut out the carbs at night and, honestly, never drink too much."

"The goal is to keep your weight stable, so it doesn't fluxuate all over the place," she says.

LISA VANDERPUMP BEST BEAUTY TIPS

Vanderpump admits that she has had some minor work done.

"I'm very honest. I always say that I'll tell you the truth about this topic," she says. "The truth is I haven't done anything major.

"I do a bit of Botox and filler. I use the retinol acid to keep the skin exfoliating," she says.

"Otherwise, I'm pretty low maintenance," she says.

Does she ever get that wistful feeling when she looks at younger people with their perfect skin?

"These kids have youth on their side with their dewy, plump and gorgeous skin," she says.

Lisa says that keeping your stress managed has something to do with aging well. "At 20, these kids don't have worries," she cries.

"In your 40s, you think, 'What did I bother worrying about when I was younger? I should have just walked around naked!'

She says fretting over aging doesn't help either.

"It's a challenge. You've seen me on 'The Real Housewives,'" she says. "I'm not always primping.

"I do my own hair and keep myself together," she says. "I'm a business woman and restaurant owner, so I'm busy."

Yes, there are times when she doesn't feel as if she looks her best. "I look at 'The Real Housewives' and think, 'My God, my hair is a mess.' But hair can't always be my priority.

"I do try to get it together every morning," she promises. "Then there are days when I think, 'I'll be slovenly.' Of course, there are always cameras there and I get called out."

WHAT PINK LIP GLOSS IS SHE WEARING: MAKEUP TIPS AND TRICKS

So many readers have asked me to ask Lisa: What pink gloss is she always wearing?

"I have so many people ask me that question!" she says.

"I think the Chanel lip glosses are amazing. You really do get what you pay for," she insists.

Then she starts rifling through her purse to figure out what colors she uses.

"I do a mix of Chanel glosses to get that pink," she confides. "My number one is Chanel 11 and I mix it with a pinker one called Chanel 02. Then I use a nude lip liner."

"I mix it up a bit and use one of the glosses more than the other," she says. "I think if you go for a little something on your eyelashes and a little gloss on your mouth then you're good to go."
