Discovery! I was madly looking for hair spray. No, not the kind that holds your hairstyle in place. The kind that covers your roots.
I was in between appointments and suddenly realized I needed some, swiftly. I tucked into Bigelow's and discovered something I had been grousing about just a few months ago – white hair spray.
A reader who has very light gray hair, wanted to do something about the pink scalp that shows through her very thin hair and I was grumbling about why don't they make white spray.
Lo & behold – they do! At least, Bumble and bumble does. And it comes in a bigger can than either the Rita Hazan or Spray Away Grays I have previously written about.
The Bumble and bumble Hair Powder sprays function as dry shampoo, root touch up and thickener – which helps pins and clips from slipping out too, in addition to making your hair look fuller.
But they were out of brown, so I stopped in Ricky's and discovered yet another hair color spray line, Jerome Russell. It has a little more fiber in it, which appeals to men for bald spot coverage (but be very careful about, say, putting your glasses on your head and then on your face!)
Bumble and bumble Hair Powders come in 4 shades (check the site for salon that carry the sprays). I tried the white one on a platinum headed neighbor of mine and she looked fabulous – her hair looked thicker and more vibrant and her clips stayed put. They offer easy application, will absorb excess oil, and can extend the life of a blow dry.
See? You can get what you wish for.
