There are certain celebrities where we wouldn't dare butt into their most private business. Thank goodness, Suzanne Somers isn't one of them.

I ask her: How did you exactly know you hit menopause?

The beloved star, author and cancer survivor doesn't hesitate to share.

"My son was toasting me at my 50th birthday and at that very moment, I went into menopause," she says. "I started sweating and couldn't wait to get out of there!

"Memorable!" she says.

You have to laugh along with Suzanne and appreciate her honestly when it comes to helping women deal with aging issues through her scads of best sellers and products.

Yes, she lives her old TV theme song: Come knock of her door.

Who knows more about sexy aging than Suzanne Somers?

The answer is no one.

In fact, she doesn't mind revealing to Style Goes Strong her best post 45-beauty secret.

You can't buy it on HSN.

"Confidence in knowing who I am is the very best beauty secret," Suzanne says.

PS: You will never hear her moan about adding another candle to her birthday cake.

"I think that aging is great ..if you know how to do it," she says.

GET STARTED RIGHT—AND DON'T PUT IT OFF

Suzanne says that women hitting 45 and older need to take stock of their entire health and beauty routines. Start with your diet.

"Eat organic, organic, organic," Suzanne says. "Let me repeat: Do not eat food that's not organic.

"It's been adulterated with poisons that store in your fat cells because your body doesn't know what to do with them.

"The more poisons, the fatter you get," says Suzanne who explains even more about her eating routine in her new book, "Sexy Forever."

She says a trip to the doc is also in order.

"Honestly, I think 45 is a great age to get serious about bio-identical hormones and quality supplementation based on blood testing," she says.

"I recently discovered a great new lab that manufactures the highest quality natural hormones and unique supplements called Medquest in Salt Lake City," she says. "Tell them at Suzanne sent you!"

She insists that you can't be lazy about vitamins and supplements any longer.

"A lot of people say it's a lot of work to take vitamins and get rid of toxins. It's a lot more work to be sick," Suzanne says.

A NEW VENTURE

Suzanne is also involved with the Nap26 application, a new, non-drug solution for those struggling from fatigue or sleep deprivation. "Two negatives happen when you are not getting enough sleep. The healing work in restoring healthy cellular function doesn't happen and you gain weight," she says.

"Yes, you gain weight if you're not getting at least eight hours of sleep a night because your insulin doesn't go down and insulin is the fat storing hormone.

"And forget about sleeping pills," she warns. "That's not sleep. It's a suspended state."

This new application, used by test pilots, helps restore energy and productivity with an audio-based, time-saving sequence that provides listeners the rest and rejuvenation of 3 hours of sleep in 26-minutes.

Nap 26 is there to "give you a beautiful, deep, restoring sleep and you awaken to birds chirping and feel that great feeling after you've had a yummy sleep," she says.

"A NASA study found that 26 minutes if the optimum time to counter fatigue using naps," she explains. "So, 26 minutes of Nap26 is equivalent to three hours of perfect sleep."

GIVING GREAT FACE

It turns out that Suzanne uses her own skincare products found at SuzanneSomers.com. Her line is toxic free and organic.

"My skin loves it," Suzanne says. "I'm sorry to sound like I'm pushing my line, but after years of testing and research, it really is the best out there."

Suzanne warns to check your cosmetics to make sure they're not just a toxic mix of chemicals. A cancer survivor, Suzanne is careful to keep her routine pure. "It's not about cleaning with chemicals, but about nourishing your skin," she says.

She has also developed what she calls the FaceMaster Platinum, a non-surgical facelift machine.

"It has turned back the clock on my face by ten years. That's what you want from surgery. There is no way in surgery to fill in that fat under the eye. I've never seen it done right. This machine does it by stimulating the muscle. It's like taking your face to the gym," he says. "You want to look younger and refreshed. Get rid of that hallow under your eye."

ATTITUDE COUNTS

Suzanne really doesn't sweat the small stuff anymore because it's just not worth it.

"Don't focus and get irritated by things you can't control," she says. "It will only make you more irritated and nothing will change."

She adds that you can be a cup half full or half empty person when it comes to hitting birthday milestones.

"Celebrate becoming the leader of your tribe – the one with wisdom whose cool," she says. "It will manifest in your look and even in the way you carry yourself."

When does Suzanne feel her most beautiful and sexiest?

"I feel beautiful when my husband Alan looks at me with 'that look' and I know it's well beyond physical beauty and encompasses all the beautiful feelings between two people who have been celebrating their togetherness for 43 years."
