WHAT DO YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW IN YOUR 20s and 30s?

CLINT EASTWOOD, Actor, Director of "J.Edgar," Legend and Former Mayor.

"What? Can you repeat that? What was the question?"

"Oh, I'm just having some fun with you. I hear just fine."

He laughs merrily.

"This is what I know. I think aging so far has been okay. I think it's good. A lot of people regret getting older because we live in a society that reveres the beginning. We celebrate the prime of our lives.

"I believe that we have certain primes at different times in life."

"My prime is now. I'm doing better at certain things now than I ever have in the past – and maybe I'm not doing so good at others.

"You take the good with the bad. I do believe that you must keep busy because it's very good for a person.

"People are always rushing into retirement. We hear in Europe that people want to push their retirement age to 67. When they started, the retirement funds came in at 60. Now it's 80."

"God, I'm past that age. I'm past 80."

"The key is you keep in shape. You keep yourself mentally in shape first of all and chances are the physical part of it will follow suit."
