WHAT DO YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW IN YOUR 20s and 30s?
ICE CUBE, star of the new film "21 Jump Street" and music legend
"The one thing I know now is that you don't know. That's unlocks a lot of magic when you realize that you don't know it all...and you never did. Everyone is dumber than they're pretending to be on a daily basis.
"Of course, at 18, I thought I knew it all. When I was 21, I was like, 'I didn't know anything at 18. At 35, I said, 'I didn't know anything at 25. Now, I'm thinking, 'I didn't know anything last year!'
"What's exciting about getting older is the fact that ten years from now I will know much more than I know today.
"I also know that it's great to work doing what you love. I had a blast on my new film '21 Jump Street' and loved doing scenes with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. Those guys are so seriously funny that I wanted to bust a gut.
"But I also know that you have to prioritize in life. You can spend hours and hours building a career. If you don't spend the same amount of hours with your family then what does it all mean?
"Balance. That's a lesson you learn with age."
