STYLE GOES STRONG ASKS: WHAT DO YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW IN YOUR '20s and '30s?

ANJELICA HUSTON, actress, "50/50":

"I think as we age, we want to sometimes cover it all up and retire. But sometimes you have to kick yourself in the butt and say, 'Come on! Get out there!'

"I don't think you want life to just be the same old, same old. You don't want it to be old hat. I still want to feel my nerves sizzling. For instance, I just started on a new series called 'Smash' about Broadway and it's filmed in NYC. I moved from California to New York and I'll be in a brand new city for six or seven months of the year now.

"I've been living in California for the past 30 years. I took my dogs and moved into an apartment in New York. I can't believe that I moved cross country! Life is changing very fast for me now, but at the same time it's not a bad thing. All my friends are saying it's good. Yes, it's scary, but what I know now that I didn't know when I was younger is that change is not a bad thing. It's new and it's good. You embrace your fears and you just do it.

"Yes, it's taking me a little while to get used to this new life, but that's exciting. I look at my dogs who are loving the parks and the new smells. I'm taking some cues from them. It's about exploration!"

"What I know now is you don't have to be so trepidatious about everything. Sure, I still have big moments of panic. But I work through it and come out on the other side because I want to see the surprises life has in store for me."

"Yes, I'm nervous when I begin a new job. But I've learned that even though something is scary, you put yourself out there and take chances.

I've also learned you can't give up on things because you feel creeky. That's a day-to day confrontation, but you still choose to be brave and you still choose to put yourself out there."

thanks for sharing the pohtos of anjelica huston. love her specially in addam's family. Did you get to see her in the movie her father directed her in when she was 19? I think the title is A Walk in Life and Death. I'm not really sure. I was looking for it for ages and her movie Prizzi's Honor.I think her features are sharp and this what makes her unique. I like her beauty. It's just that it is not the Cinderella type. Search you-tube for Beaty and The Beast. She played the step-sister in the 1983 movie version. REally cool! The more she gets old the more she looks better! ps i never did like jack nicholson for her. hahaha. well sort of thinking she'll get the sort of PRINCE CHARMING type.
