Nobody expects Trudie Styler to be especially subdued, given that she's a musician's wife. But at a recent event, I wondered What was she wearing?
Normally, she wears age-appropriate – if occasionally funky – getups. She's been photographed this year in everything from a short-sleeved shift to baggy pants and sneakers.
But this time, she's wearing mixed prints, a look that's tricky at best.
Sure, some fashionistas – like Vogue editor Anna Wintour – can pull off mixed-print pieces with ease. But for most women over a certain age, the effect is sloppy looking.
I count about 5 prints in this one dress that Trudie Styler was wearing. And it's all put together on a dress with – at best – a granny-type silhouette. She finishes the look with messy hair and tall boots.
