Tweezer alternative: pesky chin hair removal is easier now -- make it a thrice weekly regimen.

I remember about 10 years ago, riding in cabs with my boss — the sunlight would stream in the window and glint on the little hairs on her chin. Sometimes they weren't so little.

Fine yes, but long, and oh how those little beasties caught the light. The big question: Should I tell her about her chin hair? We were invariably on the way to a meeting.

Flash forward a decade later. I look in the rearview mirror to check my makeup. ACK! Now I have chin hairs. And they spring up out of nowhere. They are sudden and sneaky.

The subject came up with a friend who was visiting. "You get those too?" she exclaimed. "I hate them!" She seemed bereft. So I called my old boss and asked her what she did about them (the last few times I'd seen her, chin hair was nowhere in sight). "I carry tweezers around with me at all times." Hmmm, maybe. But I was dubious. Maybe she'd had laser.

There's a chin hair removal solution! Or at least a huge help. Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo  (available in almost any drugstore). Why didn't someone think of this before? Maybe they just put a 50-something woman in charge of product development.

The quickie 2-step unwanted hair removal process couldn't be simpler. You rub one wand on the area you're going to treat to protect the skin – it looks like a clear lip gloss stick. (Of course they suggest a patch test first.)

Then, smooth a dollop of the remover over that, wait 5-6 minutes. Wipe off. Smooth!

It won't dissolve thicker chin hairs, but it makes them easier to see and grab with your trusty tweezers. I recommend doing this every few days to be on the safe side – those dastardly little hairs wait till you're not looking to spring forth, they really do.

I've been having my face threaded, but this sounds easier—-and less painful
