McQueen Opening Scene

At the start of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, the new exhibit by the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art stand two stunning sentries of fashion-as-art: The red dress a mosaic of red glass medical slides melding into feathers, the other entirely of razor clam shells — a harbinger that this is no ordinary fashion exhibition.
