There was an interesting array of over-40 fashion at the 2012 People's Choice Awards, some even on over-40s. And a select few midlifers, but what there was was choice!

Looking dapper as ever as he reached for his glasses to accept the People's Choice Award first-ever Favorite Movie Icon award, Morgan Freeman, confessed he had to look up the word "icon" (I love that!). After getting through computer lingo and saints, he landed on "representative of something."

"Here's what I hope I represent," he said, sounding like his character in The Shawshank Redemption: proud of his profession, humbled and honored to be among his collegues (DeNiro, Clooney, Tom Hanks, & Harrison Ford), and very grateful. Attributes of an icon indeed.

And no, the glove is not a tribute to Michael Jackson; it's the result of a driving accident.
