Bill Cunningham: Tip o' the Hat

When I met Bill Cunningham on the top floor of the 'Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones' exhibition, he was photographing one of his own hats featured in the show, a version of the Elsa Schiaparelli shoe hat. But he took pleasure in capturing all the hats worn by the gala attendees (above).

And I would imagine, a special delight in meeting British master milliner Stephen Jones who also curated the show  featuring much of his work (below, left).

This New York Times tribute to Bill Cunningham is well worth watching!
