Nanette Lepore

"Almost a boho chic mentality," says Beckett of Nanette Lepore [here with her daughter Violet]. "Embellishment is the order of the day—she doesn't design plain clothes. Well priced for what you get.  Many people think she's French because of her name, and her flair, but she was actually born in Ohio.

"She's also a testament to the fact that you can run your business here! She's a leader in showing that you don't have to ship everything [from] overseas — you can run a profitable business with clothes Made in America."
