Goldie Hawn is about to be a grandmother again since daughter Kate Hudson, who has followed in her mom's acting footsteps, is about to give birth to her second child.

But Goldie has taken motherhood to a whole new level lately, as SGS favorite Marianne (Daring To Be Ourselves) Schall's terrific article in the Huffington Post points out: Hawn's personal crisis, where she says she literally lost her smile, has inspired what Schnall says 

has now become a "life-changing" quest and mission for Hawn: using our growing understanding about the human brain to create innovative programs in schools to foster happier and more resilient children — not only to promote better learning and well-being in the classroom but to "give them life tools that will go with them forever."

That's motherhood at it's highest.
