This week's picks remind me of that children's song: Head and shoulders, knees and toes, Knees and toes. It's not a perfect match for these 5 items (nothing for knees specifically, unless of course you count the soap), but both will hopefully bring a smile to your face while solving a few beauty challenges for you as well.
Forget the Pedi-Egg, the Microplane Foot File, was first. Shedding calluses and thick, rough patches on heels, balls and toes means your feet will feel better and work better for you. According to our favorite New York City podiatrist, Dr. Mark Landesman, skin thickens and calluses form in areas where there is repetitive pressure and friction, initially to protect the foot, but over time the excess skin can cause misalignment and other long-term pain. Paring down hardened skin helps prevent lasting damage.
The Microplane XL Pro Foot File has a longer handle for easier use, and a replaceable cartridge. Kind of like zesting an orange, the 95 bi-directional files gently remove just the dry, dead skin without cutting into the healthy skin beneath.
Spring forward on feet in fine fettle.
