Ginny's Picks: Head & Eyelids, Nails & Toes

This week's picks remind me of that children's song: Head and shoulders, knees and toes, Knees and toes. It's not a perfect match for these 5 items (nothing for knees specifically, unless of course you count the soap), but both will hopefully bring a smile to your face while solving a few beauty challenges for you as well.

Prep Time

After you're all clean, and before you start applying makeup, a little prep is in order.

As we age, eyelid skin gets drier and more prone to creasing and crinkling. Benefit's Stay, Don't Stray eye primer is great for dealing with that. The pump plops so much on your finger you'll have to use it on both eyelids and under eyes. But that's what you're supposed to do — to keep both shadow and concealer in place (great on upper).

It's formulated with vitamins C & E to combat aging, plus sodium hyaluronate to keep skin smooth. And it really does stay all day. The single shade works on a wide range of skin tones. And actually, it looks nice on it's own to brighten and even skin tone if you want the no-makeup look.

$24; at Benefit online or in stores like Sephora, this month
