Ann Romney

Looking at President's Day through the lens of this year's candidates wives, we tapped Jennifer Baumgartner, Psy. D., author of the forthcoming You Are What You Wear: What Your Clothes Reveal About You,for a little insight into what their fashion sense tells us about these potential First Ladies, Second Ladies &c.

Fashion writer Robin Givhan dubbed Mrs. Mitt Romney's look as Milk-and-Cookies Style. Dr. Baumgartner agrees: "She functions as as his liaison to the people." Dr. Baumgartner noted her struggles with MS, which make her more relatable than the perception of her husband as an elitist. "Her upturned collars, wrap dresses, and other fashion choices make her relatable," Dr. B says. "A woman can go into any store and buy what she wears."

So, if she were to be slotted into the any of the Real Housewives shows? "Probably Real Housewives of DC, although it's not a perfect fit."
