Who needs Real Housewives of DC in an election year (it's been cancelled anyway). For Presidents' Day, we look to the wives of the presidential candidates on the national stage and try to decipher their fashion messages.

"Rick Santorum has used fashion awareness to enhance his image," says You Are What You Wear: What Your Clothes Reveal About You author Jennifer Baumgartner Psy.D., referencing the infamous sweater vest. "But she is almost a tabula rasa," says Dr. B., describing Karen Santorum's muted colors as sort of a "Non Look." It's interesting because she's probably accomplished the most," Dr. Baumgartner notes, adding that maybe caring for a disabled child (another mother of 7), "she's had other things to think about...?" Also, recent exploration of her past in contrast to her current stance could be an aspect of the 51-year-old's fashion fade to the background.
