Long & Short of It

On the left, Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report, has barely there sideburns, which may be part and parcel of the arch-conservative doppelgänger on his eponymous show. Wood notes: "[He] has a traditional business cut with sideburns right at the point where his glasses hit the hairline. This is a perfect haircut for him since he has a longer face than the man next to him."

Walking alongside, Paul Giamatti, of HBO's John Adams fame, has significantly extended his sideburn length to below the earlobe. Which brings me to an insight from a sage librarian at a recent winery opening (brought to mind by the many wigs Giamatti wore when playing Adams). A tip for the toupee wearer:

Grow sideburns! Sans sideburns is a sure sign that you're wearing a rug.
