The Screen Actors Guild awards, as award shows go, is pretty painless. Short, sweet, and to the point, it’s all about the acting – and the fashion. Transgenerational trends we saw: ponytails, chandelier earrings, oyster dresses, cap sleeves, and lots of texture in the form of beading, embroidery and embellishment.
A collective "Oooh" went through the room when Dick Van Dyke took the stage — in LA too where he got a standing ovation, even though he said, "I'm just the presenter." And of course Mary Tyler Moore, in a gorgeous iridescent tux, received one too for her SAG Lifetime Achievement award.
Patrick Duffy, looking great all grey, and Linda Gray, on trend in oyster looking refreshed in her new blond/bronde highlights, and Larry Hagman in a large Stetson, revived everyone's Dallas days.
