Sandra Bullock rocked a lipstick-red Vera Wang gown, and although I'm normally not a fan of strapless, the corset structure elevated the look. The bonus was the big bow on the back. She doesn't need it as camouflage, but I might add a bow to the back of all my dresses.
Director Kathryn Bigelow, last year's Oscar winner for The Hurt Locker, also donned crimson, in a more muted hue, in the covered-up look that was so au courant this year, but with curious cut-outs at the shoulders which were the only departure from what was otherwise a rather monastic look.
