Cate Blanchett and Michelle Williams's cropped cuts drew kudos from all corners. Their dresses didn't fare so well — Blanchett's being deemed complicated and confusing (I'm still on the fence), while Williams got a ho-hum...

But you can always take the dress off; the hair is here to stay, at least till it grows — but it's a great look for women of a certain age, or any age.
